WRAT will be conducting a contest to find twelve women to be the WRAT "Rock Calendar Girls," with one of the twelve being selected to be the WRAT “Rock Calendar Cover Girl” who will represent the Radio Station at a total of five (5) promotions/events from January 2013 to July 2013.

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER; PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE CHANCES OF WINNING.

CONTEST DATES

The RAT Rock Calendar Girl contest will take place from 09/17/12 through 10/31/2012, with the Cover Girl being announced at a Release party on December 8, 2012. This contest is subject to all federal, state, and local laws, and is void where prohibited by law. WHO CAN ENTER

Only female residents of the State of New Jersey who are18 years of age or older as of September 17th, 2012 can participate in this contest. As of September 17th, 2012, individuals who are represented by an agent or talent agency are not eligible unless WRAT receives written confirmation that such agency and any associated commissions are being waived for all purposes of this contest, including (without limitation) all auditions, and all appearances on behalf of the station. Under no circumstances will WRAT be responsible for any fee or commission to any agent or representative of any contestant.

Employees of Greater Media New Jersey (“Company”), any other contest sponsors, and their respective parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, and the immediate family members of such employees (i.e., spouses, parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren, and siblings) and anyone else residing within the household of each of the above are NOT eligible to enter and/or to win.

WRAT reserves the right to disqualify any entrant at any time in its sole discretion. Entrants who provide any false information in connection with the contest, including (but not limited to) employment history, background, or other credentials, may be immediately disqualified.

THE CONTEST WILL BE CONDUCTED AS FOLLOWS

Contestants must register online at http://www.wrat.com/Showcase/Calendar/Browse.aspx between Monday, September 17, 2012 at 9am and Sunday, October 7, 2012 at 11:59pm (ET). Along with completing the online registration form, contestants must submit at least one (1) but no more than six (6) photos for judging. Photos must be submitted in .jpg or .gif format and may not be smaller than 270 pixels wide or larger than 1MB file size.

All participants must have authorization to provide the submitted photos to WRAT for display on its website as provided below. If a participant does not have this authorization and is selected as a finalist, she must inform WRAT so that another photo can be taken for posting on the website. All contest entries (including materials provided or created for the online voting) will become the property of Station and will not be acknowledged or returned. On Tuesday, October 9th, 2012, the finalists (total number to be determined by WRAT in its sole discretion) as chosen by WRAT representatives will be posted at WRAT.COM for the purpose of voting by listeners. Online votes will be tallied until Friday October 19th at 10am.

On Friday, October 19th at or around 12pm, the top 12 finalists will be announced and revealed at WRAT.com. Online voting will then be open for selection of the cover girl once confirmation is received from all 12 girls as to their availablility for photo shoots and finals, running until October 31, 2012 at 12pm (noon).

Voting is limited to one vote per person per 12-hour period during each round of voting.

TOP 12 FINALIST RESPONSIBILITIES

The Top 12 Finalists will be required to attend at least one of two photo shoots taking place October 27th and October 28, 2012 (Time and location TBD), and will also be required to attend the Release party on (11/30 or 12/8) where WRAT will announce the cover girl. Photos taken during the photo shoot may be used in the 2013 Rat Rock Calendar, and each top 12 Finalist consents to such use without compensation.

The Station reserves the right to hold additional photo shoots as necessary.

Participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules. Participants agree to submit to a criminal background check, reference check, and credit check, as permitted by applicable law. Entrants must not have any conflicting obligations, contractual or otherwise, that would interfere with their obligations if chosen to be a RAT Rock Calendar Girl.

If any of the Top 12 Finalists are unable to attend either of the photo-shoots, an alternate will be chosen at the discretion of WRAT.

COVER GIRL RESPONSIBILITIES The selected Cover Girl, in addition to having her photo on the cover of the 2013 Rat Rock Calendar, must be available to participate in up to five (5) station activities as arranged by the programming and promotions departments between January and July, 2013. Cover Girl must be willing to travel around the Jersey Shore area and to other destinations to participate in these activities, and must be available during non-traditional hours, including nights and weekends. Activities will take place at different venues which may include, but are not limited to, concerts, bars, nightclubs, and retail locations.

JUDGING

Judging of participants for the finalists will be by representatives of the Station in their sole discretion.

The Top 12 Finalists and the WRAT Rock Calendar Cover Girl will be determined by the total number of votes tallied for each contestant in each voting round. Percentages displayed on the voting results page at wrat.com are rounded percentages and do not reflect actual number of votes. If any fraud or other irregularities are detected in the voting process, WRAT reserves the right to determine the Top 12 Finalists and the Cover Girl in its sole discretion.

The decisions of the judges are final and cannot be negotiated. Should a participant fail to comply with any of the official rules or fail to appear for the photograph sessions or Release party on such date(s) and time(s) as established by WRAT -FM, then such participant may be disqualified.

WRAT disclaims any liability for 'server errors' or other online access problems during the voting periods. WRAT reserves the right (but is not obligated) to extend the online voting period(s) if technical difficulties should arise. WRAT will use commercially reasonable efforts to ensure that the online voting is fair to each contestant and will keep the integrity of the system as balanced as possible. One vote every 12hours per listener is permitted in each Round of Voting. Multiple votes by the same person in the same 12-hour period, or any other appearance of fraud or manipulation of the voting process, may result in disqualification of the relevant contestant.

Station management shall decide all matters relating to the contest and the interpretation of contest rules. The decisions of Station management shall be final. Entry in the contest constitutes agreement by all contestants to abide by these rules, as well as any other rules established by Station and communicated to the participants, and permission for Station to post entrants’ photos and use such materials for Station promotional purposes.

PRIZE

Eleven (11) Runner-Up prizes will be awarded, one to each of the Top 12 Finalists other than the Cover Girl: $500, payable by cash or company check on the night of the Release party.

One (1) Grand Prize package will be awarded to the Cover Girl, consisting of:

-the spot on the cover of the 2013 Rat Rock Calendar

Station reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value for all contests and giveaways. No cash redemption will be awarded.

In addition to the prizes listed above, the Cover Girl will receive up to $5,000 (payable by company check in 5 equal monthly installments beginning in February 2013) as compensation for the Station appearances described above. Station reserves the right to suspend or terminate cash payments if the Cover Girl refuses to fulfill the responsibilities outlined above. No transfer or assignment of qualifying opportunities or prizes is allowed. Winners are responsible for paying all applicable local, county, state and federal taxes on prizes based on the estimated retail value of the prize, as set forth in the contest rules.

GENERAL

By entering this contest, all participants agree to release and hold harmless the promotion sponsors, WRAT, The Sentinel Publishing Co., and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all liability and any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with this contest and any prize won. Participants (and winner) will be required to sign a form releasing WRAT and its affiliated companies from all liability in connection with the contest (and the award and use of the prize) before participating in the photo shoot(s) (or claiming the prize). Any person who refuses to sign the Release and/or provide a social security number will be disqualified and will forfeit the contest prize (if applicable). By participating in this contest, each contestant hereby consents to the Station’s use of her name; voice; likeness; photograph; audio- and video-recorded material; and biographical information for on-air broadcast and for advertising and promotional purposes without payment of additional consideration. Station shall have the right to copy, edit, broadcast, publish and use, in whole or in part, any materials featuring participants, in any manner without compensation.

WRAT undertakes no liability or responsibility, and makes no warranties, express or implied, with respect to the performance of the prize(s) awarded, for any failure to perform or negligent performance of any service provider, or for any other risk, incident or damage, direct or indirect, relating to or arising out of the contest, including (but not limited to) cancellations, postponements, delays or other scheduling changes; missed events or connections or inability of winner to attend; and accident, injury, death, damage, dissatisfaction with results, or expense arising from or occurring during the use of the prize, or travel to/from or attendance at any event relating to the contest, by the winner. WRAT is not responsible for damage to a prize or loss of a prize after the prize has been claimed. WRAT is not responsible for technical, hardware or software failure or malfunctions, lost or unavailable network or other telecommunications connections, or lost, late, damaged, illegible, inaccurate, incomplete, garbled, disconnected, or delayed contest entries or communications, whether caused by the sender or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or used in this contest, or by any human error which may occur in the execution of this contest. If, for any reason, the contest is not capable of being conducted as planned, including but not limited to infection by computer virus, bug, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or other causes beyond the control of WRAT, Station management reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest and/or determine an alternate method of awarding the prize(s).

Failure to conform to all contest rules, or any fraud or other illegal or inappropriate conduct on the part of a contestant or on a contestant’s behalf, will result in the contestant's disqualification and forfeiture of any prize won. WRAT reserves the right to rule ineligible contestants who, in WRAT’s sole judgment, engage in abusive conduct with respect to any contest or promotion conducted by WRAT or its affiliates. By taking part in this contest, participants agree to be bound by these rules and all decisions of the judges, who are employees of WRAT and whose decisions with respect to all aspects of the contest are final and binding. Copies of contest rules are available at the Station, 1731 Main St., Lake Como, NJ 07719 during normal business hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday or online at www.wrat.com, for 60 days after the contest concludes. Station reserves the right to change, alter or modify these rules, contest dates, times, and/or locations at any time with or without written notice. Material changes to the contest rules, if any, will be broadcast on-air and become effective upon announcement. Station reserves the right to suspend or terminate any contest at any time and for any reason with or without awarding a prize.

As a condition to participating in this Contest, each entrant agrees that any and all disputes that cannot be resolved between the parties, and all causes of action arising out of or in connection with this Contest shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively before a court located in Monmouth County, New Jersey having competent jurisdiction, which court shall apply the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to the conflicts of law principles thereof. The entrant and WRAT hereby waive any and all right to trial by jury. If any provision of these Official Rules is declared or found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be illegal, unenforceable or void, then such provision will be null and void but each other provision hereof not so affected will be enforced to the full extent permitted by applicable law.
