Just Don't Call It Led Zeppelin

ledzep_header.jpgPage & Jones Ain't waiting for Plant No More. Former LZ members plan new Band.

Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones seem to be ready to start up a new band with Jason Bonham.  According to BBC Radio , Jones recently told the crowd at a UK guitar show that they're, quote, "trying out a couple of singers."  He said they're, quote, "sounding great, and we want to get on and get out there."  Hope for a Led Zeppelin reunion appear to be squashed.  Frontman Robert Plant has maintained his position against reviving his old band, and Jones noted that he, Page, and Bonham want to find someone with a different sound.  He explained, quote, "There's no point in just finding another Robert.  You could get that out of a tribute band, but we don't want to be our own tribute band."  The legendary rocker added that they plan to record as well as go on tour, but insisted, quote, "everyone has to be on board."  Jones offered no timeline for the new group.
