Wha's up locals? I hope you all had a great weekend.
Please allow me to introduce to you my featured band of the week, Those Modern Cavemen.
Now, this is a new band on the local scene that has been getting a ton of buzz, and well deserving. They hail from Wall, NJ, and consist of Dan Camano and Josh Shields.
In their own words, "Those Modern Cavemen currently consists of Dan Camano on vocals and guitar, as well as Josh Shields on drums. Although we recorded as a two piece we are looking to full fill the band as a 4 piece, adding a bassist and another guitarist. Dan and Josh have been playing music together since they were 12. They started a hardcore band in 8th grade called Living a Lie, that sparked out to be pretty popular throughout highschool and had a great local following. When senior year of high school came the band broke up to go to college, Josh continued playing guitar in a cover band to make some extra beer money as Dan would write his orginal music in his spare time. Upon graduation this past May, Dan and Josh's old hardcore band got together to do a reunion show. After the show was over Dan brought up how he has these orginal songs written that are not hardcore, but more of an Alternative rock feel, and he wanted to jam. After jamming for a fews months we got three songs recorded with rob blake at insidious studios and recenty just put out demo out on Reverb Nation. So far it has recevied some positive feed back".
Be sure to tune into Jersey Rock this Tuesday-Thursday at 11:30pm to hear three awesome tunes from these guys! The new ep is now streaming on my Jersey Rock page, so be sure to check it out!
