Grunge fans were in heaven when rumors recently began to swirl that Pearl Jam and Soundgarden could potentially be embarking on a tour together next year.
The thought was that, because drummer Matt Cameron happens to play with both bands, the only way both of the groups could play a series of concerts would be if they teamed up as co-headliners.
Unfortunately, Cameron dismissed those rumors during an interview with a Boston radio station last week, stating that playing two sets in one evening would be way too much for him, Classic Rock Magazine reports.
So, while Soundgarden is set to drop their latest LP, King Animal, on November 13th and new music from Pearl Jam is rumored for release in 2013, fans may have to wait for one band’s tour to end before another begins.
