Corey Taylor, who knows a bit about inner-band turmoil via Slipknot, is lashing out at the members of KISS for not, well, kissing and making up for the group's upcoming Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction. In a new interview, Taylor notes that, "On one hand, you're stoked being a KISS fan, but on the other hand it's like, 'Can you guys just put aside your petty issues and realize that without one another you wouldn't have been able to do this? Can you just set aside and do one show for the fans of the original lineup again? And then you never have to see each other again?'...Because without those two guys (Ace Frehley and Peter Criss), the other two guys (Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley) wouldn't be where they are. And that's just me layin' it straight. I might not ever get a kind word from anybody in that band anymore, but I think it's petty and I think it's ridiculous. Figure it out! Show respect, because sometimes it's not about you, it's about the fans." Simmons and Stanley have refused to play solely with Frehley and Criss during the April 10 induction ceremony in Brooklyn but, according to Criss, offered to let he and Frehley join the current lineup of KISS for a song, which the two as well as Rock Hall executives turned down. Stanley and Simmons are also miffed that the Rock Hall is only inducting the original four and not subsequent group members. They've opted not to perform at all but plan to attend the ceremony to accept their award. Other recipients include Nirvana, Peter Gabriel, Linda Ronstadt, Hall & Oates, Cat Stevens, Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band, the late Beatles manager Brian Epstein and early Rolling Stones manager-producer Andrew Loog Oldham.
