Revolver Magazine’s Golden Gods Awards were held last night, with Axl Rose as its guest of honor receiving the Ronnie James Dio Lifetime Achievement Award and closing out the show with an hour-long set that included original Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan. For those streaming the award show live, there were some technical issues that lead up to GN’R’s set that caused some lengthy delays, which I’m sure worried the production crew to the point where they thought, “Oh crap…what if Axl just walks off the stage, like he did in St. Louis in 1991?” Fortunately, all of the sound problems were fixed, and GN’R killed it (check out the entire set below), however, one of the most unique/strange aspects of Axl’s Lifetime Achievement Award moment were the two men who helped present the award. We’re not sure if this is the first time Andrew “Dice” Clay and Nicolas Cage shared a stage together, but we kind off want Nic Cage to present an honor at EVERY award show. Check out the clip on YouTube to see why.
