Those reports about Motley Crue frontman Vince Neil's Arena Football League ambitions were apparently premature. Jeff Bouchy, the managing partner of the Jacksonville Sharks, has issued a statement denying that Neil is taking control of the team or moving it to Las Vegas: "Simply stated, the Jacksonville Sharks are neither relocating to the Las Vegas market nor planning to ever leave our great city of Jacksonville. We are currently in talks with Vince Neil about becoming a minority owner of the Jacksonville team, but those discussions do not include moving the team to another market, and as of now, neither Vince Neil nor Rockstar Investment Group, Inc. own any part of the Jacksonville Sharks." Earlier in the week Neil told the Las Vegas Sun that he would indeed be buying the team and bringing it Sin City, and Bouchy acknowledged that Neil would like to expand the AFL into Las Vegas but that was separate from his discussions with the sharks. Bouchy said the deal to bring Neil in could be completed soon, while the singer is gearing up for the launch of Motley Crue's farewell tour on July 2 in Grand Rapids, Mich., with dates currently booked into late November and overseas legs expected to follow.
