That letter found in Kurt Cobain's wallet dissing his widow, Courtney Love? It was written by Love herself. That's the contention, at least, Seattle writer Charles Cross, who's written two books about Cobain -- including the definitive 2001 biography "Heavier Than Heaven" -- says that Love actually penned the note, which includes the vows, "Do you Kurt Cobain take Courtney Michelle Love to be your lawful shredded wife. Even when she's a bitch with zits and siphoning all your money for doping and whoring. Will you promise to f*** her at least once a week, O.K." Many fans on the Internet have also identified the handwriting on the note, penned on a sheet of stationary from San Francisco's The Phoenix hotel, as Love's, and Cross says Love gave it to Cobain shortly before their 1991 wedding and that she and Cobain often gave such notes to each other. The note was among the artifacts Seattle police released during commemorations of the 20th anniversary of Cobain's suicide. ...However, Love's father isn't being as charitable. Hank Harrison, who wrote the ebook "Love Kills: The Assassination of Kurt Cobain," recently told RadarOnline.com that he still believes his daughter was involved in Cobain`s death in some way, saying that, "I can't prove she pulled the trigger, but I can prove her involvement to a high degree of certainty." He maintains the newly released note provides further proof that "something dire and awful took place" between Love and Cobain. Despite Harrison and other conspiracy theorists, however, the Seattle police continue to maintain that Cobain's death was a suicide.
