Putting a cap on the latest Nirvana saga, Courtney Love has fessed up to writing the recently disclosed note found in Kurt Cobain's wallet after he committed suicide in April of 1994. Seattle police recently released the letter -- written on stationary from San Francisco's Phoenix hotel and reading "Do you Kurt Cobain take Courtney Michelle Love to be your lawful shredded wife. Even when she's a bitch with zits and siphoning all yr money for doping and whoring. Will you promise to f*** her at least once a week, O.K." -- among other artifacts from the crime scene. Though many initially thought Cobain wrote the note, biographer Charles Cross quickly identified it as Love's handwriting, and Love has confirmed to the Seattle Times that she did indeed write the note, though after a Nirvana show on New Year's Eve 1991, not in 1994 as previously supposed. Love's sister and an employee of the Cobain estate also confirmed Love wrote the tongue-in-cheek note. ...Meanwhile, Love has just released a video for her new song, "You Know My Name," a rocker that shows her on a destructive tear in what appears to be a bedroom.
