In theory, putting The Beatles’ “A Hard Day’s Night” and Mötley Crüe’s “Girls, Girls, Girls” together should not work, whatsoever. But after hearing Wax Audio’s mash-up of the two tracks, it makes you wonder why someone didn’t come up with this pairing sooner. We admit that it was a bit jarring to hear the crisp opening note from “A Hard Day’s Night” followed by the revving of motorcycles, but John Lennon’s vocals paired so seamlessly with the “Girls” melody that we forgot all about it and wished John, Paul, George and Ringo were sitting with the Crüe throwing dollar bills at some of the Sunset Strip’s finest. The news of mash-up has reached bassist Nikki Sixx, who posted a link to the video on the Facebook page of his radio show SixxSense, but so far, no other Crüe member or Beatle have commented.
