U2's new album may well come out before the end of the year -- although the band itself isn't saying that yet. But a new report in the U.K. tabloid The Sun quotes an anonymous source as saying "the U2 comeback is very much on for this year. The new album will drop before the end of the year, most likely in November." The paper also reports that U2 is rumored to be playing at this year's iTunes Festival during September in London. The band, its management and record company have not confirmed any of these reports, however. U2 was expected to release the album earlier this year, after premiering the song "Invisible" during the Super Bowl telecast. The group has been working with Danger Mouse, Ryan Tedder and Paul Epworth, and there were rumors that it wouldn't be out until 2015, which the band quickly denied.
