Linkin Park kicks off its Carnivores Tour with Thirty Seconds to Mars and AFI tonight (August 8) in West Palm Beach, Fla. The three acts will tour together through September 19 in Concord, Calif. After playing shows in Europe during the summer, the group's Mike Shinoda tells us the production will offer plenty for fans' eyes as well as the ears: "I feel like on this one the production that you'll see...it evolves over the course of the show pretty well. It's More video-based...I'm not gonna spoil any surprises as far as how the LED stuff gets, what's actually being presented on or as far as what the stuff actually looks like. You're gonna have to come to the show to see that stuff. but...it adapts with the show, and the show is a work in progress, like we do change things, usually subtly, from show to show...We take the live show seriously. It is, in some part of it, it's as much a piece of art as the music is, so we want it to be compelling and fit with the overall kind of aesthetic of what the band is up to right at this moment." Singer Chester Bennington, meanwhile, says fans can count on hearing a good chunk of the group's new "The Hunting Party" album mixed in with older favorites: "We're playing five songs off the new album, so there's a healthy dose of the new record in there. And I think we're playing 'Final Masquerade,' 'Rebellion' -- those are two that we haven't played yet. And we're thinking of playing 'Until It's Gone' and 'Guilty All the Same' as well as 'Wastelands,' so there's a lot of the new record in this upcoming tour for sure." Linkin Park has a European tour lined up for November as well.
