At the end of the day, you really have to give Axl Rose and Guns N’ Roses some credit.
After nearly 30 years filled with several lineup changes, a few flopped albums and endless drama, the band is still going strong. And they’re not stopping any time soon.
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, GNR guitarist DJ Ashba discussed the band’s upcoming residency at the Joint in the Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel, which he believes will provide them with the energy they need to get started on a new LP.
“This is the first time we’re all going to be in the same place for a month solid. That will be our main focus – it has already been talked about,” Ashba explains. “I think we’re going to get a lot done. It’s just a matter of sitting down and working together as a band, putting together what we feel is gonna be the best Guns record.”
He also tells Rolling Stone that Axl Rose has already completed some new material, that he’s been asking Ashba’s input on it.
Ashba continues, “Axl's put together such a talented group of musicians and there are so many songs that are already worked out. So we've got a good jump on it, for sure.”
Guns N’ Roses is set to play at Neil Young’s Bridge School Benefit on October 20th and 21st in Mountainview, CA before heading to Sin City on Halloween and playing twelve dates that end on November 24th.
