A Broadway play about what it’s like to be a rockstar at the top, only to sink all the way to rock bottom? It’s about time!
And it looks like Motley Crue’s, Nikki Sixx will be the one to take on the task.
The news broke on Friday, November 16th when Sixx posted on his personal Facebook and Twitter accounts the following message:
“I’ve (sic) been getting asked this a lot lately…The answer is: Yes, “The Heroin Diaries" book is being turned into a broadway play. More news to follow in the next few months....We’re (sic) getting pretty far down the road...We hope for a late 2013 or early 2014 for it to open...”
The Heroin Diaries is Sixx’s 2008 memoir which contains personal diary entries and commentary from those with him during the time when his life spiraled out of control in a sea of heroin and cocaine use.
And the Motley Crue rocker isn’t just stopping at Broadway either; Sixx will also be making his acting debut this year in the movie, Shoot’er.
The short film follows an assassin who runs into some personal problems when his next target is a beautiful woman, and has Sixx playing the role of the adulterous scoundrel; a role we can all agree, is most fitting.
Both should be interesting, to say the least.
