Foo Fighters’ frontman Dave Grohl has been swapping out his guitar for a director’s chair quite a bit lately.

The rocker premiered his documentary, Sound City, at the Sundance Film Festival last week, to positive reviews from festival goers and critics alike.

Switching gears from rock-docs to music videos, Grohl had his second directorial debut this week, with the release of Soundgarden’s video for “By Crooked Steps.” The song is the band’s second single off of their 2012 album King Animal, which premiered at #5 at on Billboard’s Top 200 back in November.

The video features the band’s members as a Segway gang who wreak havoc by kicking a hipster DJ offstage at a bar and rocking out as his replacement.

Soundgarden are currently in the midst of a series of North American tour dates, which wrap up on February 13th at the Fox Theater in Oakland, CA.

Meanwhile, Dave Grohl and his supergroup, the Sound City Players, are set to play the Hollywood Palladium in LA on Thursday, January 31st following a showing of Sound City. The Players, which features the likes of Stevie Nicks, Krist Novoselic, Corey Taylor, Rick Nielsen, Rick Springfield and John Fogerty, are also rumored to be playing SXSW in March, as well as a few other shows that Grohl mentioned in a recent interview with Rolling Stone.
