Muse is on a break from its tour supporting its latest album, "The 2nd Law," but you can bet the British trio will be paying attention to -- and maybe even attending -- this week's 55th Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles.
Muse -- which previously took home the Best Rock Album trophy for 2009's "The Resistance" -- is up for a pair of Grammys this year, Best Rock Album again for "The 2nd Law" and Best Rock Song for "Madness."
Drummer Dominic Howard tells us he and his bandmates are stoked, even if they're not counting on winning in either category:
"It's amazing to be nominated again. It's certainly a surprise, and it's great to be nominated for such things. Are we gonna win? Jesus, I don't know. Probably not -- stiff competition this year and all the other stuff in our categories. It's all great, great tracks...great bands, great albums. Who knows? The bands that are nominated all made great albums as well, so I've got no idea."
Muse next performs at a Warchild benefit on February 18 in London before resuming its North American tour on February 22 in Sunrise, Fla.
