It has begun!
Alter Bridge announced yesterday (April 29) that recording of their new album is officially underway.
The band posted on their website:
“We are pleased to announce that recording has begun on our 4th studio album. First up to record is Scott "Flip" Phillips on the drums. Stay tuned and we'll update you on the progress as time allows.”
The project marks the bands’ first since the release of 2010’s ABIII, and while the album isn’t set to hit shelves until September, Alter Bridge has a more immediate release on the horizon.
A box-set of epic proportions is due out from the group on May 14, which will feature a whopping 16 discs, previously unreleased interviews with band members Myles Kennedy, Mark Tremonti, Flip Phillips and Brian Marshall, a coffee table book, autographed poster, exclusive photos and more. Further info can be found at AlterBridgeBoxSet.com or by watching the video below.
Alter Bridge will also embark on a European tour this fall with Halestorm, beginning on October 16 in Nottingham, UK.
